Privacy Policy for Constellation

Last updated: 9/20/2026

Constellation ("the app") is a household task and routine tracker designed for families to use together. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how it's stored.

Who this app is for

Constellation is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian, for use together with their children within their own household. It is not designed to collect personal information from children, and does not knowingly do so.

Information we collect

The app stores the following information, entered voluntarily by the parent or guardian who sets it up:

We do not collect names, email addresses, photos, precise location, or any other directly identifying information about your child. The app does not require creating an account with a name or email. Devices connect to a shared household using a randomly generated code that you create and share only with your own family members.

How information is stored

Task, category, reward, and completion data is stored using Google Firebase, a cloud database service, so that it can sync between devices within the same household (for example, a parent's phone and a child's tablet). This data is associated only with your household's private code — not with any personal identity.

Notifications

If you choose to enable notifications, they are generated locally by the app on your own device based on activity within your household (such as a task being completed). We do not use a third-party push notification or advertising service, and notification preferences are stored only on the device where they're set, not shared to the cloud.

What we don't do

Data deletion

You can disconnect any device from a household at any time from within the app's Settings. To request deletion of a household's data from our systems entirely, contact us at the email address below.

Children's privacy

This app is designed to be used by children only under the direct supervision and setup of a parent or guardian, who controls all data entry. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without a parent's involvement, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
